On Tuesday morning, Sergeant Shelia Rollinson of the Southeast Division was recognized by the Town North Optimist Foundation as the Dallas Community Police Officer of the Month.  Sgt. Rollinson has been a member of the Dallas Police Department for over 20 years, and has spent her entire career in the Southeast Patrol Division.

She currently serves as the station sergeant for Southeast Patrol’s day shift, a vital position in patrol.  Everything that happens during a shift goes through the station sergeant!  You can say it’s like the central nervous system of the watch.

Rollinson is described by Southeast Major Andrew Harvey as an unassuming, quiet leader that knows how to get things done. “When things aren’t working at the station sergeant level, the entire watch can shut down,” Harvey said. “Fortunately, we don’t have to worry about that with Sgt. Rollinson at the helm.”

Congratulations to Sgt. Rollinson for this well-deserved honor!
