A fatal accident occurred this morning March 10, 2014 at about 6:32 AM in the 3000 block of West Davis Street. The victim, Chris Rodriquez Garcia, was walking from the south to the north curb across the 3000 block of West Davis Street.

A vehicle traveling eastbound in the same block collided with the victim. Dallas Fire Rescue elements responded and pronounced Mr. Garcia deceased. The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and render aide. Investigators believe that the victim walked out in front of the vehicle and was struck and killed. Initial indications are that the vehicle was a white truck, but investigators cannot confirm the color or vehicle type.
