UPDATE:
For the past few days, the Dallas Police Department has been attempting to locate and arrest Andonal Harvey B/M 1-17-1979, who is a suspect with a history of breaking into vehicles and who was also wanted for felony theft.
Officers located Harvey at a gas station in Dallas on March 12th. When uniformed officers attempted to arrest him, Harvey sped away striking one of the officers. Thankfully, the officer didn’t sustain any serious injuries but police secured a warrant for his arrest for aggravated assault on a public servant.
On March 14th, officers working in the Dallas Police Department’s Metro Unit learned of an address in Arlington where Harvey might be staying. After several hours of surveillance at the location, officers saw Harvey drive away. Covert officers followed Harvey to a motel in the 12000 block of North Central Expressway where they called in the SWAT team. After a short standoff, Harvey was taken into custody.
Several units within the Dallas Police Department worked in concert to make sure Harvey was arrested safely, including the following: F.A.S.T. Team, Metro Unit, Helicopter Unit, Canine Squad, SWAT and South Central Deployment. Because of their hard work, Harvey is once again safely behind bars.
