Three robbery suspects were captured on March 19, 2014, by officers in the Southwest Patrol Division.
The victims were entering their vehicle, which was located in the parking lot of a restaurant at 110 W. Davis Street, when they were approached by a Latin male who demanded their wallets at gunpoint.
The suspect took the victims’ wallets containing their credit cards and cash. The suspect was seen fleeing the location in a white 90’s model Lincoln Towncar, occupied by two other suspects.
One of the victims called 911 and gave police a detailed description of the suspect’s vehicle. He also began tracking his credit card activity and informed officers that one of his cards had just been used at a nearby gas station and convenience store.
Approximately 35 minutes after the 911 call, patrol officers located the suspect vehicle at 600 W. Kiest and conducted a felony traffic stop. The suspect vehicle was occupied by three Latin males. They were taken into custody and transported to the Dallas Police Department’s Robbery Unit where they were interviewed by detectives. The suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime.
All three were taken to jail and charged with Aggravated Robbery. Teamwork and communication between the victims, officers in the field, and the detectives led to an outstanding arrest!
