On February 19, 2014, at about 11:00 P.M., The victims, Denzyl Pickens and his friend Gregory Smith were sitting in a parked red Nissan Altima in the 1800 block of Abshire Lane.  Suspects Jamon Sanders, B/m/1-18-1990, and Donovan Young, B/m/7-23-1991, approached the Altima to rob the victims. During the robbery, Sanders shot both of the victims causing their deaths.  The suspects then fled the scene. 

During the investigation, Jamon Sanders was identified as a possible suspect through a Crime Stoppers tip.  On April 2, 2014, Homicide detectives interviewed a witness and received information linking Sanders and Young to this Capital Murder offense.  Donovan Young has been arrested and charged with Capital Murder, and is currently in Lew Sterrett Jail. However the pictured suspect Jamon Sanders  is still at large.
