We’ve all heard, “Somebody is always watching.” And, “There are eyes everywhere.” Perhaps this may be somewhat overstated. Although with video cameras everywhere these days, one can make the argument that the opposite may be closer to the truth. Nonetheless, in this particular case, someone was actually watching when three suspects broke into Omar’s Check Cashing business located at 3760 W. Northwest Hwy. Unfortunately for the burglars, the ones that had their eyes on them just happened to be plain clothes Dallas police officers.
On April 2, 2014, at approximately 3:30 a.m., Northwest Deployment Officers observed Suspects Thomas, Curtis 10-6-83, Browning, Calvin 12-3-83, and Gabriel, Kealon 12-27-78, break into Omar’s Check Cashing. Listed suspects entered the store by prying the front door open. Suspects were in the process of removing property when uniformed officers surrounded the business and took all three suspects into custody. After meeting with a Northwest Division property Crimes detective, all three suspects were transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and charged with Burglary of a Business, Case #77194-B.
So, maybe there are eyes everywhere. These guys may now think so.
