Update: Deceased suspect involved in this morning’s officer-involved shooting identified as Codi Ben Bullard W/M 26 years old.

According to witnesses, at about 9:30 this morning, employees at the business located at 1220 S. Lamar Street noticed a suspicious unidentified male within their fenced-in property and began to escort him off property.  As they were doing so, the suspect began attacking the male employee with a knife. The female employee began screaming for help and called 9-1-1.  A uniformed off-duty officer happened to be across the street and heard the screams. The officer came across the street and seeing the attack taking place, shot the suspect who is now deceased.  The male employee has been taken to the hospital in unknown condition. Neither the female employee nor the officer were injured.  The involved officer is Sgt. Jackie Moore #7601. Sgt. Moore has been on the department for 15 years and is assigned to Northwest Patrol.
