Felony Burglary of Motor Vehicle Suspect Arrested

On Friday, April 4, 2014, Metro Officers conducted a vehicle stop for the minor traffic violation of no seatbelt at 2300 Irving Boulevard. During the investigation of the traffic stop, officers discovered the vehicle was stolen on March 28, 2014, out of the city of Dallas.

Officers ran a subject check of the driver of the vehicle, Derrick Perry B/M/03-21-64, and he was found to have two active felony warrants out of Dallas Sheriff Office for theft and burglary of a motor vehicle. Mr. Perry also showed to have a felony warrant out of Euless Police Department for burglary of a motor vehicle and theft.

The Northeast Patrol Division had an active bolo out for Mr. Perry. He was suspected of being responsible for several offenses. Perry was transported to the Northeast Investigative Unit and Detective Adams conducted an interview. Mr. Perry confessed to several burglary of motor vehicle offenses.

Detective Adams was able to obtain a felony warrant for the burglary of motor vehicles. The case number in this incident is 73028-B.
