Today, Chief of Police David O. Brown promoted Major Tammie Hughes to the rank of Deputy Chief. Deputy Chief Hughes is a 29 year veteran of the Dallas Police Department. She will be assigned to the Internal Affairs Division. A promotional ceremony in her honor will be announced in the near future.
