Community Awareness Bulletin – Sex Assault of A Child

Dallas police detectives who were assigned to investigate the reported sexual assault of a 14 year-old victim in the area of 5900 Wisdom Creek Drive have learned through follow-up interviews that the alleged abduction and sexual assault did not occur.  The department has provided the reported victim with referrals to agencies that are better equipped to provide her with assistance for the difficult life changes she is facing. 

The Dallas Police Department wants to say thank you to the community and media for their assistance in broadcasting the information on a possible suspect.  We will continue to notify the public in the event of possible newsworthy concerns while at the same time conducting thorough investigations into such reports.  

 

On June 23, 2014, at approximately 11:30AM, a female victim a child 14 years of age, was walking in the 5900 block of Wisdom Creek Drive after getting off her school bus when she was approached by an unknown black male Suspect. This Suspect forced the victim into his vehicle, drove a short distance, parked and sexually assaulted her at knife point. After Sexually Assaulting the victim the Suspect forced the her out of the vehicle.

The Suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30 years of age, full beard, low cut black hair, approximately 5’10”, skinny muscular build. The suspect was wearing a black shirt with dirty blue jeans, grass stains on the knees and the front thigh part of the jeans had a white paint smear look to them.

The Suspect’s vehicle is described as follows: Older 4 door black truck with rust on the hood and on the passenger side of the truck. The interior is gray cloth, dirty, with a lot of trash in the floor board.

The offense is reported on Case # 151250-2014. At this time there are no other reported offenses in this area with the same vehicle and suspect description.
