On August 7, 2014, METRO officers tracked down 41-year-old Hiriam Morris, a suspect in an aggravated robbery of a Family Dollar store. METRO intelligence, covert and uniformed officers joined forces and caught Morris at his relative’s home in Grand Prairie.
Officers arrested Morris without incident and he confessed to his involvement. He was the last arrestee of a ring of robbery suspects caught by METRO and Southeast officers.
Hiriam Morris’ partners in crime, 53-year-old Garry Rhymes and 21-year-old Richard White, committed the string of robberies with a handgun and were arrested earlier in the week, and all three suspects remain in jail on high bond. The case numbers for the robberies are 167348-2014, 168291-2014, 168937-2014 and 168930-2014.
