The new school semester started this week for most students, but for some police children, they entered the new year with a little extra money in their pockets.
Saturday morning cartoons were put on hold for many Dallas police children and their families because Skyline Ranch was the place to be for this year’s Chief Ethics Award. The purpose of the event was to honor and celebrate police children in Elementary School, Middle School and High School for their achievements. Grades, attendance and community involvement were just some of the criteria the students were evaluated on for the award.
Students were awarded with certificates and a select few were awarded with checks made possible by Cary Maguire of Maguire Oil Company.
