On Sunday, June 29, 2014 at approximately 3:45 a.m. Suspect Ranji Alix Charles shot Complainant Veronica Dejon Sauels, shot one time in the face with a pistol, causing her death.

The offense occurred in the 5400 block of Preakness Lane. Prior to this shooting, Suspect Ranji Alix Charles shot and killed victim Corey Shannon, documented on Dallas Police Department incident #156132-2014, and robbed two individuals at gunpoint in the 300 block of E. Ledbetter Road, documented on Dallas Police Department incident #156196-2014. Suspect Ranji Alix Charles is currently in custody and in the Dallas County Jail.
