At about 7:30 A.M. this morning, patrol officers responded to a call regarding health and welfare check at 6800 S. Cockrell Hill.  Upon entering the apartment, officers found the body of Morris, Onkuli, a B/F.  While inside the apartment, officers found Smith, Melik, a B/M, hiding inside the apartment.  He was detained and brought to headquarters for questioning. 

Suspect Smith, Melik is currently in custody and he is being charged with Murder. This incident is documented on Dallas Police Department case number 223939-2014.
