5200 Sycene Road

On October 21, 2014 at approximately 7:50am, Homicide Detectives responded to 5200 Sycene Road regarding a body found in a creek. Upon arrival, the detectives observed the body of a young Latin female. The victim is identified as 16 year old Jackeline Veloz. Ms. Velo’z death was caused by homicidal violence.

Detectives interviewed several witnesses, including the victim’s boyfriend, and based on the interviews arrested a 16 year old Latin male juvenile for the murder of Jackeline Veloz.

The motive is unknown at this time. The relationship between the victim and the arrestee is still under investigation.

Witness Pablo Pedraza, a 19 year old Latin male, was arrested for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle and Burglary of a Motor Vehicle in an unrelated case.
