Today, around 4:00pm, officers responded to a bank robbery in progress in the 11000 block Garland Road. Shortly after the offense had been committed, officers from the Metro Unit intercepted the suspect vehicle. They attempted to initiate a traffic stop by activating their emergency equipment (lights & siren).  The suspect was non-compliant. One of the tires on the suspect vehicle became disabled which caused the suspect to lose control of the vehicle and roll several times near the intersection of Easton & E. Lake Highlands.  The suspect is currently in fair condition at a local hospital.
