On Tuesday, December 09, 2014, at about 2:47 p.m., uniformed officers were on patrol and conducted an investigation in the 5700 block of Margewood Drive. When officers approached the two suspects, they got into their vehicle and fled. There was one male suspect and one female suspect. The suspect vehicle collided into a rear fence in the 6100 block of Farnsworth Drive. After the crash, both suspects fled on foot. As the female suspect fled, she climbed over a fence and in doing so; she impaled her bicep on the fence. Officers applied direct pressure and a tourniquet to prevent further injury. The female suspect was transported to Methodist Hospital. She will be charged with Attempting to take Weapon from a Peace Officer, Evading Arrest and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Methamphetamines. The male suspect is still at large. This incident will be documented on case number 292986-2014. This is an on-going investigation.
