2014 Vivian Miles Lifetime Achievement Award Goes to DPD’s Patricia Keaton

On March 4, 2015, Caseworker Patricia Keaton was awarded the 2014 Vivian Miles Lifetime Achievement Award  from the Texas Association Against Sexual Assault (TAASA).  The ceremony took place in Austin, Texas, where she was accompanied by friends and coworkers. 

Pat is a dedicated worker who has served as an advocate for victims and has been a member of the Victim Service Community for over 30 years.  She has graciously served as the Victim Services Coordinator for the Dallas Police Department since 1996.

TAASA assists sexual assault survivors with a goal to create a Texas free from sexual violence.

Nominees for the lifetime achievement award must have a minimum of 10 years in the anti-sexual-assault movement and have demonstrated a lifetime commitment to ending sexual violence and providing support to survivors.  Pat has done just that and more.  We congratulate her for the hard work, dedication, and professionalism that has brough great credit to herself and the Deaprtment.
