The Dallas Police Department is pleased to announce DARTing with the Chief on the Beat, a new Community Engagement Initiative implemented by The Office of Community Affairs. Community engagement programs are key to building stronger relationships within the community and encourage citizens to become proactive in keeping their neighborhoods safe.

On March 20, 2015, the Dallas Police Department will partner with DART to host DARTing with the Chief on the Beat. DPD and DART officers will ride the trains from six DART stations to the West End where the Central Division will have a welcoming team. Riders will have an opportunity to express concerns, share ideas, meet their Neighborhood Police Officers (NPOs) and receive safety awareness tips during their morning commute.
