St. Patrick’s Parade

Over the weekend citizens from across Dallas and abroad put the Green in Greenville Avenue when over 100,000 people lined the streets of Greenville to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. This year’s parade marked the 36th Anniversary of the Dallas St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival and featured floats from puppies to super heroes along the 2 mile route.  Officers from across Dallas started the day with an early meeting and then it was off to ensure streets were closed so that everyone could enjoy the festivities.  The Dallas Police Department is happy to be involved with helping to make the Parade possible, especially Officers assigned to Patrol who wear those GREEN tabs on their shoulders year round.  So on behalf of the Dallas Police Department we wish you a happy and safe St. Patrick’s Day!

As a reminder, the Dallas Police Department’s No-Refusal Initiative is still in full-swing and the Department has ensured additional Officers available to keep the streets safe throughout the holiday week.  Don’t Drink and Drive!!!
