DARTing with the Chief on the Beat

To better serve YOU we are branching out and strengthening our relationships with other law enforcement agencies.  Today Dallas Police Officers along with DART teamed up to ride the DART Rail throughout the City of Dallas.  Chiefs from the Patrol Divisions were on the trains talking to citizens about any concerns they may have with the Police Department as well as ideas on how the Department can better serve their needs as part of an on-going Community Engagement Initiative.

The event culminated in the West End where all of the Officers came together and Chief Brown of Dallas PD and Chief Spiller of DART PD addressed everyone involved about how the partnership will benefit the citizens of Dallas.  “As a Police Department tasked with serving and protecting such a large and vibrant community we are constantly working to increase our relationships with other law enforcement agencies.  The DART System has long been a major part of the Dallas Community and because of this we are working closely with DART PD to ensure that we continue having an impact on the safety and protection of everyone within the City of Dallas,” stated (Chief David O. Brown).  The Dallas Police Department looks forward to working closely with DART PD and other area law enforcement agencies to deliver the highest level of service to the community.

In addition to the overwhelming support of the community we also would like to thank McDonalds, Krispy Kreme, Antioch Church and DART for their contributions. It is only through the support of our community that we can better reach out and serve everyone.
