Today at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers located Daniel Olsen in the 300 block of Patton Street, at which time Olsen barricaded himself inside a home. Olsen is a suspect in a murder committed on April 14, 2015, in the 200 block of West Millett Drive. 

Officers surrounded the location and after Olsen refused to exit the location, SWAT was called to the scene.  SWAT responded to the location and took Daniel Olsen into custody at 3:00 pm today without incident. See below for the arrest affidavit and information on the homicide. He is being held on a $500,000.00 bond.

On April 14, 2015, at about 9:37 p.m., officers responded to a call regarding a shooting in the 200 block of West Millett Drive. The victim, Ryan Paul Wurster, W/M 5-13-1984, suffered multiple gunshot wounds, causing his death. The victim and witness were involved in an altercation with the suspect,. Suspect fired multiple times striking the victim, causing his death. The witness also suffered a gunshot wound and is expected to recover. A Murder Warrant has been issued for suspect, who continues to be at large at this time. Next of Kin notification has been made. This incident is documented on case number 83415-2015.
