Today, Officer Raymond Hailey, #6602, was presented with the Officer of the Month Award at the Dallas Petroleum Club. Officer Hailey is a leader in community policing in the Jubilee Park area at the Central Patrol Division. In the nomination letter, Sgt. Bridget Wilson-Jones gave praise to his consistent outstanding performance in a dynamic work environment that requires him to constantly flex his schedule to the needs of the citizens, neighborhood groups, businesses, and other law enforcement agencies. Officer Hailey intercepts and resolves citizen complaints for Jubilee Park, therefore reducing the potential 911 calls for patrol officers.  His experience and aptitude to stay connected with the neighborhood residents has made him the established eyes and ears of that area. Detectives from the investigative units and senior level staff frequently call on Officer Hailey to help identify suspects who have committed crimes or live within Jubilee Park. Furthermore, Officer Hailey conducts research, develops, and implements community-based projects to improve the quality of life for Jubilee Park’s citizens, and he also dedicates his time to Boy Scouts of America. Throughout his career, Officer Hailey has received 68 commendations, 26 of which were external recognitions from citizens for such acts as caring attitude, kindness, generosity, and professional presentations.
