On June 3, 2015, at about 11:30 am officers responded to a disturbance call at Tom Thumb located at 315 S. Hampton. Officers were informed that a B/M/20 and a B/F/18 were in a verbal dispute in front of the location. When a citizen intervened the B/M suspect attempted to assault the citizen. Officers were given information prior to arriving on the call that the vehicle the suspects were driving had been taken in a carjacking that occurred on May 31, 2015.
Upon officers arrival, the B/M suspect fled the location on foot. Officers called for Air 1 and a canine element so they could set up a perimeter. The suspect was eventually apprehended by Officer Dale Ordogne, #8727 and Officer Patrick Jobe, #8694 at 2332 W. Davis. The female suspect was also arrested from the location. A hand gun was recovered from her hand bag and the stolen vehicle was also recovered. Both were taken into custody and were then taken to the Crimes Against Persons Unit. The female suspect confessed to the carjacking and is being charged with Aggravated Robbery. The male suspect is being charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Firearm/Felon, Possession of Cocaine and Evading Arrest.
Great job done by all those involved in making this arrest!
