On June 18, 2015, at about 3:00 p.m., homicide detectives responded to a call at the 3300 block of Wake Street. The victim, Gilberto Perez L/M 9/28/39, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died as a result of his injuries. The victim and suspect, Martin Urbina L/M/30, were at the suspect’s home drinking alcohol the night prior when a disturbance occurred between the two. Suspect Urbina fired multiple shots at the victim, striking him and killing him at the offense location. The suspect gave detectives a voluntary statement and will be charged with Capital Murder.
