Senior Corporal Artealous Christian

Senior Corporal Artealous Christian II, #2581, was born February 22, 1946. At the age of 22, he joined the Dallas Police Department. He was the first African American officer to join the Motorcycle Unit in 1974 and was often referred to as a “trailblazer”. He celebrated 47 years of service this year and became the second longest-serving officer in the history of the Dallas Police Department.

Senior Corporal Artealous Christian passed away on June 19, 2105. A.C. Christian was a respected officer and will be missed. His dedication to helping others was reflected in his work and family life.
