The Texas Law Enforcement Explorer Advisors Association (TLEEAA) held their 2015 competition from July 30 to August 2, 2015 at the University of Texas at Arlington. Over 100 teams from all over the state of Texas attended this competition. This year 13 Dallas Police Department Explorer teams with 52 explorers competed at this year’s two day event.
Overall, the Dallas Police Explorers won the TLEEAA 2015 Best Agency Award! The Northeast Division Explorer Post won 1st place, beating out 100 teams from all over Texas.
Dallas Police Northeast Explorer Oscar Macias was awarded a scholarship from 2015 Texas Law Enforcement Explorer Advisor Association. Macias has been an Explorer at Post 3305 for over 3 years. He is currently the Post Chief.
The Dallas Police Department – Southwest Division Explorers were awarded the following awards:
- 3rd Place Bomb Threat (Team 2)
- 3rd Place Unknown Call
- 3rd Place Burglary in Progress
- 3rd Place Misdemeanor Traffic
- 3rd Place Crime Scene Search
- 2nd Place Bomb Threat (Team 1)
- 1st Place Hostage Negotiation
- 1st Place Burglary in Progress
The Dallas Police Department – Southeast Division Explorers were awarded following awards:
- 2nd Place Burglary in Progress
- 2nd Place Arrest Search and Seizure
- 3rd Place White Collar Crime
- 3rd Place Crisis Negotiation
- 3rd Place Domestic Disturbance
- 3rd Place White Collar Crime
The Dallas Police Department – Northwest Division Explorers were awarded the following:
- 1st Place Arrest Search and Seizure
- 3rd Place Crime Scene Investigation (Team 2)
- 2nd Crime Scene Investigation (Team 1)
- 3rd Place Robbery
The Dallas Police Department – Northeast Division Explorers were awarded the following:
- 1st Place White Collar Crime
- 1st Place Domestic Disturbance
- 1st Place Crime Scene Investigation
- 1st Place Misdemeanor Traffic Stop
- 2nd Place Unknown Call
- 3rd Place Arrest Search and seizure
- 3rd Place Gang Activity
