The Dallas Police Department and Dallas Fire-Rescue are asking for the public’s assistance in locating and identifying a suspect in a burglary and possibly an arson offense.
On June 9, 2015, at 6:36 am, Dallas Fire-Rescue responded to a structure fire at 9540 Garland Road in the Casa Linda Plaza. After Dallas Fire-Rescue fought the fire a burglary offense was discovered. Arson Investigators reviewed surveillance video from an adjoining business and noticed a suspect along with the vehicle he was driving. The video shows him breaking in and removing property from the business without permission. Shortly after the suspect left the location the structure fire occurred.
The male was wearing a white t-shirt, dark blue shorts and white tennis shoes. He had short hair, appeared to be a White or Hispanic male , and is approximately 5’4” to 5’8” tall. He was seen leaving the complex in a beige-colored Ford Taurus or Mercury Sable.
