On Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at approximately 1:35 a.m., Dallas police officers responded a call in the 10100 block of Royal Lane regarding a robbery in progress. A Black male suspect wearing a mask pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money. The suspect took the cash and fled on foot. Two witnesses observed the suspect get into the suspect vehicle, described as a gray Acura, driven by a Black female suspect. The witnesses followed the suspect vehicle and continuously updated the 9-1-1 operator with the suspect vehicle’s location. With the information provided by the witnesses, patrol officers were able to catch up to the suspect vehicle. After a brief pursuit, officers apprehended both suspects at Fordham Road and Bonnie View Road. Stolen property was recovered and this offense is documented on case number 186411-2015. The suspects have been identified as Adrian Luckey, B/M/34, and Bernadette Turner, B/F/32.
The witnesses that followed the suspects were instrumental in this apprehension and Dallas police officers are greatly appreciative of their efforts. However, such actions are inherently dangerous and unpredictable. For the safety of the citizens, it is preferred that witnesses only provide responding officers with their account of the incident. We are thankful for our partnership with the citizens as we all work to make our city a safer and better place.
