The department is proud to announce it’s pet adoption success rate! The partnership with Dallas Animal Services began in March of 2015. Since then a new pet has been featured weekly for adoption. It is with great pleasure that we are able to say that since March, every pet that has been featured as the “Pet of the Week” has found a “Furrever Home”
Because of the great success, the partnership now include cats! We will be featuring a cat in need of a home. We will be calling it “Feline Friday”. We will still feature a dog, but will also include a cat.
This weeks DPD Pets of the Week are Tate and Erica!
Tate A905564 is a 5 year old Lab/Retriever mix who has been in the care of Dallas Animal Services since August 25, 2015. This friendly guy weighs in about 63 lbs. His neuter, vaccination and microchip are included with the adoption and his adoption fee is waived.
The DPD Cat of the week is Erica, a 6 month old Calico. She’s demure, but affectionate and family-ready; spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Her adoption fee is just $20 as part of Dallas Animal Services “Fall in Love” campaign which runs all month long.
Let’s help find Tate and Erica a Furrever Home. You can meet them both at Dallas Animal Services. They are available for adoption at Dallas Animal Services main location, 1818 N. Westmoreland, 75212. They are open 11 am to 6:30 pm Monday-Saturday and 12 noon until 5 pm on Sunday. Pictured with Tate and Erica is Senior Corporal Ed Lujan who is assigned to the Financial Investigations Unit.
