Update: The victim in the White Rock Trail homicide has been identified as David Stevens W/M/3-16-62.

We are reporting the deaths of two victims in two separate murders today.
This morning at approximately at 7:55 a.m., officers responded to several cutting/stabbing calls near Fair Oaks Crossing and Walnut Hill Lane.
The victim, who had no identification on his person, appears to have been jogging on the trail. He is described as a W/M 25 to 30. He was found on White Rock Creek Trail with injuries consistent with a large edged weapon. He was transported to Presbyterian hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The suspect in this murder, Thomas Johnson B/M 04/18/1994, admitted to committing the crime and has been arrested and will be charged with Murder. At this time, It appears that Mr. Johnson picked his victim at random.

About thirty minutes later, at around 8:30 a.m., officers responded to the 11700 block of Dixfield Drive regarding a 2007 white Honda Odyssey in the creek. Upon the officers’ arrival, they found Zoe Hastings, W/F/18, deceased from obvious homicidal violence.
Ms. Hastings family stated that she left home at approximately 4:45 p.m. yesterday evening, in a white 2007 Honda Odyssey, license plate BF62154 to attend a 5:00 p.m. class at her church which is located at 10700 block of East Lake Highlands Drive.
