On October 17, 2015, Michael Chapa, Jr. (L/M 6-20-1980) met the female victim outside of a nightclub in the 10300 block of Technology Boulevard as she was walking to her vehicle. He introduced himself using an alias name. He told the victim he would walk her to her vehicle. They talked and they agreed to go to breakfast together at a nearby restaurant, so the victim got into Chapa’s vehicle.

Chapa drove past the restaurant, causing the victim alarm, and took her to his residence where he sexually assaulted her.  The victim was later able to flee on foot. Once Chapa’s true identity became known, detectives with the Dallas Police Department’s Sexual Assault squad executed a search and arrest warrant at Chapa’s residence and took him into custody.  He was then booked into the Dallas County Jail and his bond was set at $25,000. Chapa has since been released on bond.
