Good Arrest: Dallas PD Teams Up with Austin PD

On Wednesday, November 4, 2015, the Austin Police Department contacted the Dallas Police Department’s METRO Unit and asked for assistance in locating a subject named Andre Williams, a 30-year-old Black male, born May 31, 1985.  Mr. Williams threatened to come to a school in Austin, Texas and shoot students.  After further investigation, METRO deployment officers had reason to believe Mr. Williams’ location was in the 2600 block of Volga Avenue in Dallas.

Undercover officers conducted surveillance at the location and observed the subject.  An arrest team was formed and officers made contact with a family member inside the home.  Mr. Williams exited the residence where he was subsequently taken into custody without incident.  Mr. William’s was transported to Lew Sterrett Jail and charged with Terroristic Threat, a third degree felony.

Outstanding work by all involved!
