Following media coverage, on November 13, 2015, the Dallas Police department received anonymous tips regarding the possible identity of the suspect responsible for the sexual assault offense that occurred on November 7, 2015. Detectives researched the information and developed a possible suspect and acquired a photo of the individual.
The victim positively identified Loai Faheem Laila W/M 06-08-1981 as the person who sexually assaulted her. He was arrested today in the 100 block of Simons Drive in Coppell, Texas and has been charged with one count of Sexual Assault F/2 and a class C warrant out of Carrollton PD. He has been placed in the Dallas County Jail on $1,000,000.00 bond.
The Dallas Police Department extends sincere thanks to the media and to the citizens who called and reported information that led to the identification and arrest of this suspect.

On November 7, 2015, around 3:00 a.m., the victim of this offense got inside the vehicle near the 2900 block of McKinney Avenue and believed she was going to be given a ride home. When the victim discovered she was not going to be driven to her destination, she demanded to be let out. The subject then drove to an undisclosed location and sexually assaulted the victim.
The subject was last seen leaving the gas station in the 4100 block of North Central Expressway on November 7, 2015, where he dropped off the victim between 3:30 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. We are releasing surveillance footage from the gas station in hopes that someone who may recognize the vehicle and/or the driver will call police with his identity.
