Dallas Police Arrest Serial Aggravated Robbery Suspect

On November 12, 2015, Dallas Police officers arrested Joshua Puckett, Black male 5-17-1986, for Aggravated Robbery, 2 counts of Felony Theft and Evading Arrest.  On November 30, 2015 he bonded out of jail. He is the same suspect who, in November, jumped over the fence at the Dallas Police Auto Pound and stole a vehicle.

Yesterday, December 9, 2015 at about 1:20 p.m. officers assigned to the Dallas Police Department’s Northwest Patrol Division observed a car in a motel parking lot occupied by two males. A check of the vehicle revealed that it had been stolen in an Aggravated Robbery in Houston, Texas on December 7, 2015.

When officers approached the vehicle the passenger, Courtney Johnson, Black male 03-26-1989, surrendered.  The driver, Joshua Puckett, Black male 05-17-1986, fled on foot into an adjacent car dealership where he stole another car at gunpoint. Puckett drove the car a short distance before abandoning it in the 2900 block of Silverton. Puckett again fled on foot over fences and through yards.  Officers located Puckett in the 2900 block of Sundial, where they observed him pointing a gun at himself threatening suicide. SWAT was called and Puckett eventually surrendered and was taken into custody.

Puckett is charged with Aggravated Robbery and Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Johnson was released.
