Press Conference: Community Awareness – Indecency With a Child

The Dallas Police Department has identified 3 separate incidents where an adult male suspect has approached teenage girls on their way to or from school. We believe all three incidents to be related.  Informational bulletins were distributed on the first two offenses and with a possible third case we need the help of the community to identify leads or a suspect in these cases.

The first offense occurred on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at approximately 9:00 am, when a 17 year old female, while walking to school in the 1000 block of Hutchins, was assaulted by an unknown male, possibly with the intent to abduct her.  The victim was able to free herself and the suspect fled the location in a newer model dark colored vehicle.  The suspect is described as a black male, 25 to 30 years old, 5’6”, and 185 pounds.  The suspect was wearing a navy blue hoodie and blue jeans.  This offense was reported on case number 118721-2015.

The second incident occurred on Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at approximately 4:30 pm, when a 16 year old female was walking home in the 3500 Block of Blue Ridge Drive. The victim was walking behind the Zion Apostolic Temple Church when she walked past a black, 4-door, newer model vehicle that was parked on a dirt road behind the church.  The victim continued to walk across the soccer field at Doris Berry Park when she heard someone running towards her.  When the victim turned around she saw a black male wearing only a t-shirt with his genitals exposed.  The female ran from the location and police were notified. The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years old, light skinned, short beard, 5”9”, 190 pounds.  The Suspect was wearing a dark grey Polo type shirt. This offense was reported on Case Number 239132-2015.

The latest incident occurred on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at approximately 6:30 pm. A 14 year old female and her 17 year old female friend were walking home from school in the 1000 block of Hutchins when they were approached by an unknown male suspect.  This suspect exited a vehicle at the location wearing only a shirt and chased the two victims while exposing his genitals.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years old, 6’0”, 200 pounds, wearing a white shirt.  The suspect’s vehicle is described as a newer model, 4 door, black, possible Honda Accord.

This offense was reported on Case Number 280666-2015.

There is a coordinated effort between resources of the Investigative Bureau and the South Central Patrol Division to locate and identify this suspect; this includes detectives reviewing video from area businesses for possible leads.
