On December 20, 2015, at approximately 6:15 p.m., Gregory Bishop,  Black male 54 was shot at 2415 Southland Street. Mr.Bishop was transported to an area hospital where he died from his injuries. 

During the course of the investigation, it was determined that Ervin Ray Pickens Black male 04-17-54 as responsible for Bishops death.  Pickens was interviewed and admitted to shooting the victim.  Pickens has been charged with murder and placed in jail.  His bond is set at $250,000.00.
