Aggravated Robbery Suspect Arrested!
On Sunday, December 27, 2015, Southeast Patrol Officers J. Byous #9273 and F. Reyes #10444 spotted an aggravated robbery suspect, Saul Garcia, at the Phillips 66 at Holcomb and Lake June Road. Officers J. Byous #9273 and F. Reyes #10444 performed a traffic stop and took the suspect into custody without incident.
The suspect was interviewed by Robbery Detectives and charged with TWO (2) counts of Aggravated Robbery on Case # 301132-2015. The suspect was arrested and transported to jail. Detectives are currently investigating other offenses that suspect Garcia may have participated in.
Great Team Work and Communication resulted in the safe apprehension of this violent offender. A Job Well Done for All Officers Involved!
Known Burglar Arrested!
On Tuesday, December 29, 2015, the Southeast Patrol Division’s Burglary Task Force received a tip regarding a known burglar, John Cobb. The tip stated that John Cobb was at an apartment complex located at 378 N. Jim Miller Road in the common area courtyard.
As officers K. Bryant #8127 and J. Byous #9273 approached in their marked Dallas Police Department squad car, Cobb fled on foot through the complex. Officer J. Byous pursued him on foot northbound through the apartment complex and Officer Bryant continued in the squad car to gain a tactical advantage. The subject ran into another unrelated apartment, but was apprehended by Officer J. Byous #9273 and placed under arrest.
The subject was arrested for Burglary of Habitation which is documented on case #302675-2015. Detectives believe the suspect is linked to several other burglary offenses.
