Keeping Dallas Safe: South Central Officers Arrest Robbery Suspect

On January 15, 2016 at about 8:15 p.m., a Latin male suspect entered the Subway restaurant located at 1111 W. Camp Wisdom Road wearing a black hoodie and a ski mask. The suspect pulled out a handgun and placed it on the counter and demanded money. The employees gave the suspect money from the register then the suspect ran out of the front door and got into a white vehicle.

At that point, a South Central patrol supervisor happened to pull up to the location and noticed the suspect acting suspicious as he got into a vehicle and drove away with no headlights turned on. The patrol sergeant performed a traffic stop on the vehicle at the same time the robbery was being dispatched over the police radio. Officers realized that they had stopped the suspects from the robbery and found a plastic Subway bag with money in the front floorboard of the car. Officers arrested the robber and the getaway driver for Aggravated Robbery.
