Dallas Police Arrest Murder Suspect

On February 3, 2016, at approximately 10:38 a.m., Dallas Police officers responded to a call at 7012 Sarah Lee Drive.  When the officers arrived, they found the victim Darlene Jones, a 54-year-old black female, deceased from multiple lacerations.  Zettie Lee Minter Jr., black male 55 drove himself to a gas station in Hutchins, Texas, where he confessed to an employee there that he had just committed a murder.

The Hutchins Police Department responded to the scene. Mr. Minter Jr. waved down the officers and confessed that he had indeed just committed murder. He was then taken into custody and transported to the Dallas Police Headquarters. During an interview with detectives, he admitted to having killed Darlene Jones. Mr. Minter Jr. is currently being held at the Lew Sterrett Justice Center on a $150,000 bond.
