On February 22, 2016, at about 12:55 p.m., Dallas police were notified of a disturbance involving multiple people at the KHVN Radio Station at 5787 S. Hampton Road.

The radio station was sponsoring a candidate forum for the race for Dallas County Commissioner District 3.  Commissioner John Wiley Price, former Dallas Mayor Pro Tem Dwayne Caraway, Mr. Micah Phillips, and Balch Springs Mayor Cedric Davis were present along with other members of their staffs.

We are aware that there may be multiple video recordings of the altercation that took place and detectives are working to secure them.   A portion of the disturbance was captured on video and has been released to the media.

Detectives from the Assaults Unit of the Crimes Against Persons Division are working to interview the involved parties and witnesses to the incident.
