Over the weekend several of our Dallas Police Athletic League (PAL) Boxers competed in the 12th Annual Premier Boxing Tournament in Ft. Worth, Texas. Many of the PAL boxers had a great turn out and brought home a trophy, but one of our fighters really showed off his skills.
Nine year old Jay Shaw Wallace, also known as Jay Hawk, stepped into the ring and defended his title. The undefeated champ won his match in the 2nd round by TKO (technical knockout). “He didn’t just win the fight, he dominated.” stated Coach Danny Espinosa. It is said that Jay Hawk has great talent and that he has placed himself on a different level than his opponents. His trainers along with the fight commentators see Jay Hawk as a future Olympian.
We are proud of all our Dallas PAL boxers and Officers. Our boxers are great kids with impeccable skills, and the PAL officers are great role models. Their success starts now.
