Detectives Arrest Suspect in Shooting on Southland Street

On April 12, 2016, at 3:22 a.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 2600 Southland Street.  Officers found one male victim shot multiple times in the torso. The victim was transported to Baylor Hospital where he was treated for multiple gunshot wounds and is in stable condition.  

A few minutes later, Dallas Police received another shooting call at 4104 Gaston Avenue.  A male was found with a gunshot wound to his leg.  This victim was transported to Baylor Hospital. Responding officers  believed the male victim found at 4104 Gaston Avenue, matched the description of the suspects on the shooting on Southland Street. A witness at the scene was shown a lineup and positively identified the person at Baylor Hospital as one of the suspects involved in the shooting.  

Arrested person Devondell Fisher, an 18-year-old Black male, is being treated for his injuries, but will be transported to Lew Sterrett Jail following his release and is being charged with Aggravated Assault, a second degree felony.  This offense is documented on case number 086530-2016.
