On April 4, 2016, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Dallas police officers responded to an accident on the service road of the 8100 block of East R.L. Thorton Freeway. The pedestrian, a Black female, was exiting the store when she was struck by the driver of an unknown Silver Ford pickup truck. The victim fell to the ground and was possibly knocked unconscious. The driver failed to stop and render aid as the vehicle continued to drive away from the location going southbound on Jim Miller Road towards Samuel Boulevard. Dallas Fire and Rescue transported the victim to Baylor Hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
