Did you know April is National Child Abuse Awareness Month? The Dallas Police Department Child Abuse Unit works in partnership with the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center to help children who have been victims of abuse and neglect. The Dallas Police Child Abuse Unit investigates cases of physical abuse, sexual abuse, and homicide.
By operating out of the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center, detectives in the Dallas Police Child Abuse Unit have immediate access to CPS workers, forensic interviewers, and therapists who can try to begin the healing process for victims.
