On April 28, 2016, at about 7:00 a.m. two male victims were inside their apartment at 5211 Preakness preparing for work.  A Black male suspect wearing a red button down shirt entered the apartment through an unlocked front door and immediately began beating one of the victims with a pistol and demanding money. Both victims became involved in a physical altercation with the suspect. During a struggle for the gun both victims were shot.  The suspect fled with one victim’s property. One victim is at Methodist Hospital in critical condition. The second victim is at Methodist Hospital in stable condition.

The victims were able to provide limited information due to their injuries.
