Shooting at 2425 Bickers Street

On April 30, 2016, at about 1:30 a.m., Dallas police officers responded to a shooting call at 2425 Bickers St. The homeowner at that location advised that he had been notified of intruders inside his home by his security system sending an alert to his cell phone.  He stated that he drove back to his home where he confronted 3 black male suspects coming out his back door carrying his property.

The homeowner advised that he shot at the suspects who were burglarizing his home.  Keanu Wilson B/M 17yrs old was struck and died at the scene, Michael Jerome Allen B/M 18yrs old was struck and taken to Parkland Hospital in stable condition and a third suspect escaped on foot and it is unclear whether or not he was injured.  Multiple witnesses along with the homeowner were brought to Dallas Police headquarters and cooperated with detectives in this investigation.  Michael Jerome Allen will be charged with Burglary of a Habitation and taken to the Dallas County Jail upon his release from the hospital.  Detectives continue to investigate and to identify the third burglary suspect who fled the scene.
