Aggravated Robbery at King Square Apts

On Sunday, May 1, 2016, at approximately 1:55 a.m., a female victim was walking on a sidewalk within the Kings Square Apartments located at 2625 E. Illinois Avenue, when she was pushed down from behind by three unknown suspects.  As the victim laid on the ground, two of the suspects displayed handguns and demanded money from her, while the third suspect stood and watched the entire incident.  The suspects repeatedly asked the victim where she kept the money and assaulted her.  After searching the victim for money, they fled on foot out of the apartment complex.  The first suspect held a black handgun to the victim’s head while the second suspect pointed a gray handgun at her.  The surveillance video at the apartment complex shows all three suspects immediately prior to committing the offense. The offense is documented on case number 103189-2016.

  • Suspect 1 is a Black male, between 17-20 years of age, wearing a white tank top, blue camouflage pants, a knit cap, and was armed with a black handgun.
  • Suspect 2 is a Black male, between 17-21 years of age, wearing a gray hoodie, dark pants, armed with a gray handgun.
  • Suspect 3 is a black male, between 17-21 years of age, wearing a T-shirt with “22” on the left chest, long shorts that are rolled up at the knee, and a Nike baseball cap.
