Information Needed for Capital Murder Investigation

Update 5-31-2016 at 3:29 a.m. – On May, 28, 2016, Dallas Police responded to a shooting call at 12121 Coit Rd. in which the victim, Mr. St. John, was shot and killed.  Homicide Detectives determined that Demonte Laderrick Scaife,  B/M 24-years-old, was responsible for the death of the Mr. St. John.  Arrestee Scaife, was located in Nolan County, where he is currently in jail for Capital Murder on a $1,000,000.00 bond.

The Dallas Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance for information regarding a capital murder investigation.

On May 28, 2016, at approximately 9:05 p.m., Dallas Police responded to a shooting at 12121 Coit Rd. at the Extended Stay America Hotel.  The victim, Paris Marquell St. John, B/M 27-years old, was shot at the location and transported to a local hospital where he died from his wounds. Mr. Marquell’s vehicle a 2007 Burgundy Chrysler 300 4-door, License plate CF2G526,  was taken after the shooting.  Homicide detectives would like to speak with the individual pictured, Demonte Laderrick Scaife, B/M 24-years-old, who may have been with the victim at the time of the shooting. Demonte Scaife is described as being 5’07” weighing 150 lbs. Demonte Scaife was last seen wearing a black shirt, a black baseball cap and black pants.
