Serial Driveway Robber Sought

As a result of this blog post, detectives received information that led to the identification of the suspects involved in this offense. Michael Terrence Gipson, 48, and Walter L. Keller, 45, have been arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery.

Shortly after the offense one of the victim’s credit cards was used at 7-11 at 9100 Forest Lane.  In the video a tall black female wearing a red shirt and jeans exits the suspect vehicle and enters the store. An individual matching the description provided by the victim’s, a black male wearing white T-shirt and jeans, is seen exiting the front passenger door of the suspect vehicle. The driver of the suspect vehicle, a black male wearing a black T-shirt and jeans, is seen standing outside the vehicle. 

In the second and third videos, the driver of the suspect vehicle is seen making a purchase inside the 7-11 store at 12950 Coit Road.

Serial Robber

On May 18, 2016, at about 9:47 p.m., two victims pulled into their driveway in the 6100 block of Oakcrest Road. As they stepped from their vehicle a black male wearing a blue hoodie and dark colored pants ran up to them and demanded their money at gunpoint.  The suspect took their money and fled down the alley on foot.

On May 19, 2016, at about 10:15 p.m., a female victim pulled into her driveway in the 6800 block of Blackwood drive. Before she could exit her vehicle a black male wearing a white T-shirt and dark colored pants tapped on her window and demanded her money at gunpoint.  The victim’s husband observed the incident and intervened. The suspect held the husband at gunpoint while he reached into the victim’s vehicle and stole her purse. The suspect ran to a red 4-door sedan driven by an unknown suspect, climbed into the passenger seat, and sped off. 

On May 19, 2016, at about 10:21 p.m., two victims pulled into their driveway in the 6200 block of Saratoga Circle. As the driver walked to the rear of his vehicle to open the trunk he observed a black male suspect running toward him with a gun demanding his money.  The suspect was startled by a witness and fled without taking any property. The suspect climbed into the passenger seat of a red 4-door sedan, driven by an unknown suspect, and sped off.

It is believed that the same suspect is responsible for all three offenses. The suspect is described as a black male, 18-23 years old, 6’ 0” in height, weighing 180 pounds. The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and jeans.

The suspect vehicle is described as a red 4-door sedan.

Shortly after the offense one of the victim’s credit cards was used at a gas station. In the photo on the left an individual matching the description of the suspect is captured on video exiting the front passenger door of a red Toyota Camry. In the photo on the right the driver of the suspect vehicle, a red Toyota Camry, is captured returning to the vehicle. 

The driver of the suspect vehicle was captured on video making a purchase inside the store.
